Finding out the Gender: Our Story

I woke up at 7am, got up and got dressed started drinking my water for the appointment (32-44oz) and was ready to go at 8:30am. I woke Scott up around 8:15 and he was ready by 8:30 as well. We left the house and arrived at the doctors office around 9:00. I signed in and sat down. By 9:30 I realized they hadn't called me back yet for what I thought was my 9:15 appointment. So I went and asked the receptionists. She told me my appointment wasn't until 9:50!!! Now keep in mind I had been drinking all this WATER!! I ended up having to go ahead and go to the bathroom. By 10:00 I was called back. I laid there and the doctor got the images he needed and then began showing us images of our little one. The doctor said, "See this, this is your bladder and it's WAY to full go empty some." Turns out I emptied too much and when I got back the doctor was unable to determine the gender because the baby had moved down. We we devastated thinking we would have to wait another week. Thankfully our doctor was soo nice. He told me to drink some more water and I could come back in about 20 minutes. I was so excited we would get another chance. Waiting felt like hours and the doctor came out and called us back. I had been quietly praying he would be able to determine the gender. I laid down and the doctor said, "the baby turned over!!" Then he announced, "It's a GIRL!!!" I was shocked and said, "Are you sure?" And he said, "YES!!! It's a girl." Scott and I were both so excited and surprised at the same time. It then took us a LONG time to get in touch with all our family. Scott and I then went and celebrated with our friends at Chuy's
